Make some healthy gingerbread cookies shaped as people with the children. After they are baked and cooled, the children group them as families. The can also be a part of your family day celebration.
Here are some recipe ideas (I haven't tried these recipes, but I often use these recipe websites):

Family Day
Host a family day when you invite moms, dads, sisters, brothers, grandparents and other family members to come for a special family celebration. You can do family activities and even serve the gingerbread family cookies the kids made.

Family Member Dress Up
Provide different types of clothing for the kids to dress up like different family members (dad- ties, hats, shoes, pants, vest, etc.; mom- heels, skirts, sweater, necklace, etc.; brother- caps, jacket, sports clothes, etc.; sister- bows, dresses, skirts, more girlish shirts- flowers, etc.)
Family Portrait
Let the children create a picture of their family on the inside of a paper plate. Then put holes in the sides of the plate and thread some yarn through it. Now you can hang the family portraits on the wall.
I Have a Family Tree
I have a family tree with brances by the dozens.
I have grandpas, I have grandmas, I have uncles, aunts, and cousins.
When it’s reunion time, no matter what the weather,
It is such a happy day when the family gets together.

Family Trees
Have the children bring pictures of members of their family. Let the children draw a tree on poster-board or print a tree out for them on card-stock. The children can then paste their family members on the branches of the tree to make a family tree.
One Hundred Ways to Get There
Draw a large circle on the ground with chalk. Have children stand around it. Ask a child to cross the circle by skipping, hopping, jumping, crawling, running, etc. You can let the children think of ways to cross the circle.
